Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes has raved about the quality of Chelsea and Brazil star Thiago Silva.
Silva, who’s now 38, continues to perform at the highest level for both club and country.
The £96,000-a-week defender impressed at the World Cup this winter for Brazil and was back in Chelsea’s starting line-up during Tuesday’s 2-0 win against Bournemouth.
His contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire at the end of the season. Football London claims the Blues will soon hold conversations about the centre-back’s future, though.

Bruno Guimaraes raved about Thiago Silva
25-year-old Guimaraes, who plays alongside Silva at international level for Brazil, has waxed lyrical about the veteran Chelsea defender.
“Thiago Silva, he’s a monster,” Guimaraes told the Premier League’s YouTube channel.
“Thiago Silva always played at the highest level.
“It’s difficult to be his age and play the same way he played when he was 18 years old… He’s an amazing player.”

Silva may only be two-and-a-half seasons into his Chelsea career, but he belongs in the conversation as one of Chelsea’s best defenders of the Premier League era.
He has received all the praise under the sun, and rightly so. There’s no doubt he will play an important role during the second half of the season as Chelsea chase various goals.
It would be a huge lift if he feels he can go on into a fourth campaign at Stamford Bridge, but only he’ll know how he feels in his own body.
