The reaction continues to flood in today following the news that Mason Mount is no longer a Chelsea player.
Mason Mount, who’s been training with Chelsea since the age of six, will no longer play his football at Stamford Bridge.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder officially completed his move to Premier League rivals Manchester United this morning, joining for an initial fee of £55million (Sky Sports).
It’s certainly going to be odd watching him in red next season!

23-year-old Chelsea defender Reece James, who came through the Blues academy at Cobham at the same time as Mount, has posted a farewell on Instagram.
It’s nice to see Mount has immediately responded with a heartfelt goodbye message in the comment section, too.

“So proud of you,” Mount said in his response to James.
In fairness, there’s a sense of overriding pride from Chelsea supporters towards all the players that have gone from the academy to first-team stars.
Mount and James have been the best of the bunch since a certain John Terry, which is why it’s a huge shame the former has now gone.
We can only wish Mase the best of luck moving forward, though.

Elsewhere, Didier Drogba has spoken on Instagram to share his disappointment with Mount leaving Chelsea.
He was the poster by for Chelsea for a lot of outsiders looking in, but we suspect that James will now pick up that role as the face of the club.
We think James can be a great ambassador for the club going forward, so we would love to see him get the captain’s armband next season.
