Chelsea star Reece James claims Thiago Silva is one of the very best he’s played alongside.
Reece James, who’s been around the first-team scene for a few years now, has established himself as one of the best right-backs in the game.
The 23-year-old full-back has played with some high-profile names at Chelsea. Also, he gets to play alongside the nation’s best players on international duty with England.
When asked who’s one of the best players he’s ever played with, James told FIFA’s YouTube channel: “Probably Thiago Silva.”

Thiago Silva, 38, is still making a big impression during the latter stages of his career.
The elite centre-back has seen it all and boats an incredible CV, but he continues to perform to such high standards at Stamford Bridge. It’s why he fully deserved his one-year contract extension to keep him at Chelsea until 2024.
The timeless defender has set the benchmark in Chelsea’s backline in the past two-and-a-half seasons, so we’re not surprised hearing how much James idolises him.
Incidentally, 20-year-old Chelsea loanee Levi Colwill described Silva as “a joke” this week.

Let’s hope Silva still a big say left in this season.
The South American defender is currently missing with a knee injury, with the club confirming at the start of March he was likely to miss around six weeks.
It would be a massive boost if he’s able to play in the Champions League two-legged quarter-final against Real Madrid during April. We’re fearful he could miss both games, though.
Chelsea’s saving grace is that their defence is looking a lot more stable recently since Graham Potter reverted to a back three.
