Ian Wright has claimed on ‘The Kelly and Wrighty show’ that Graham Potter is going to need a miracle to turn things around at Stamford Bridge.

The manager is under intense pressure at the moment, with things not getting any easier off the back of last weekend’s result.

The Blues fell to an embarrassing 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge to Southampton.

The worst part however is that the side currently bottom of the Premier League left West London deservedly with all three points, as they piled more pressure on the struggling Potter.

The former Brighton man appears to have lost the faith of the Stamford Bridge faithful, who had been patient in what’s been a dire run of form.

Pundits in the media have also begun to discuss whether he is the right man for the magnitude of job that is going to be needed at Stamford Bridge.

Wright has now claimed that it will take a miracle similar to the great Sir Alex Ferguson more than 30 years’ prior for Potter to turn things around.

He said: “He’s in the lap of the owners. We’re talking that he’s going to have to have some sort of Sir Alex Ferguson miraculous recovery from 1990 for me.”

The only real chance the manager has of turning things around with his fans is by completing a comeback victory in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues created plenty of chances in the first leg of the Round of 16, however were defeated 1-0 by the Bundesliga side.

It will take one of their best performances of the campaign in order to turnaround their first leg deficit, with the likes of Jude Bellingham keen to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
