Rio Ferdinand loved the goal celebration from Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell against Leicester City at the weekend.
Chilwell, 26, received a fair amount of stick from Leicester fans during his return to the King Power Stadium on Saturday. His teammate Wesley Fofana was in the same boat, too.
However, the Blues duo had the last laugh during Chelsea’s 3-1 away victory in the Premier League.
Chilwell scored an excellent volley against his old side to break the deadlock, his second goal of the season.
The left wing-back followed his goal with a memorable celebration. He cupped his hands to his ears while facing the Leicester supporters in the ground, which was the perfect response to the strong boos aimed in his direction.

Ferdinand thinks Chilwell was well within his rights to give the Leicester fans back some stick.
If anything, he thinks the Foxes should be grateful towards someone whose sale generated £50million a few years ago.
“They got 50-odd million for this kid, a left-back, out of Covid, and they are booing him,” Ferdinand told FIVE.
“But they got more than they probably should have got for him. He did great job there, part of the league-winning team, and they are booing him for going to Chelsea.
“It doesn’t make sense. So good, I’m glad he did that (celebrated in front of the Leicester fans). Give them a bit back; they deserved it. They should respect him.”

Chilwell played the perfect villain on Saturday for Chelsea, who are looking much stronger with him back in the starting line-up.
He’s offering such a great balance from the wing-back position both offensively and defensively, so fingers crossed he can keep up his form and fitness.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has recently explained that Chelsea are not planning to sell Chilwell despite interest from Manchester City.
In our view, he’s one of the first names on the team sheet and integral to the XI.
