‘Incredible’: Jamie Redknapp thinks Chelsea have a ‘fantastic’ player on their books, he could be sold in the summer

Jamie Redknapp has raved about the on-loan Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

Speaking on Sky Sports ahead of Southampton’s game against Liverpool last night, Broja received a pretty swell review from Redknapp.

The young centre-forward has earned decent appraisal from across the board since his switch from Stamford Bridge to the South Coast last summer.

His numbers may have depleted in the second half of the term, but he was flying up until February.

He has scored nine times in all competitions so far, bettered only by James Ward-Prowse in the race for Southampton’s Golden Boot.

Broja’s best run arrived between December and the beginning of February, when or scored or assisted five goals in nine Premier League appearances.

Redknapp raves about Broja

Sadly, the 20-year-old has only rippled the net once more since that 3-2 victory against Tottenham Hotspur over three months ago.

Yet, the talent is clearly there for all to see, as highlighted by Mr. Redknapp himself.

“He has this incredible pace and strength and if he gets the ball in the right positions he can finish really well,” praised the former Liverpool midfielder.

“He’s a fantastic young player and I just want to see him get better and better, as he deserves every success.”

There is no doubt that Broja will only improve with age, as long as he’s kept on the right trajectory.

Which will heavily be influenced by his next movements once the campaign concludes.

Everybody wants a slice of Armando

Plenty of clubs have reportedly already shown interest in the Albanian international, stretching from Serie A to East London.

Southampton of course will be eager to tie down the exciting talent permanently, at least on loan again if possible.

But the final decision is going to be in the hands of Chelsea.

A judgement call they are apparently yet to make.

Numerous offers for Broja are set to come the Blues’ way in the summer, some that might make them a very tidy profit.

In fact, any fee will boost the club’s finances, considering the player was raised through the academy at Cobham.

Or, they might decide he is worth his weight in goals and reintroduce him to Thomas Tuchel’s squad, a team that could do with some extra fire-power.

Just make sure the move is right for you, Armando.
