Danny Murphy thinks that Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham could well become “world class”, amid reported interest from Chelsea.

Bellingham, who turned 19 earlier this year, is already showing such maturity for a youngster.

The midfielder made the brave decision to move to Germany a couple of years ago to join Borussia Dortmund, which has been an incredible move for his career.

He’s become a talisman for the German club, even wearing the captain’s armband at times this season.

It goes to show how much ability he possesses when the teenager is a player England supporters are picking out as someone who can shine for them during this winter’s World Cup.

Bellingham could become world class

TalkSPORT pundit Murphy is excited about the future of Dortmund’s teenage sensation.

Murphy named Tottenham striker Harry Kane as the only current world-class individual in England’s World Cup squad, but thinks someone like Bellingham could reach that height.

“Bellingham could become world class. He’s a super talent,” he told talkSPORT.

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly reportedly thinks Bellingham would be a great signing at Stamford Bridge.

In fairness, there’s not a side in the world that wouldn’t love the English youngster.

If you judge him as a player now, he’s a Rolls-Royce central midfielder that’s so effective in both halves of the pitch in his box-to-box role.

He’s contributing a lot to the Dortmund attack with goals and assists, but is tireless with his work off the ball as well.

When you throw in how young Bellingham is, he would be a dream signing for anyone.

Can Chelsea attract someone of his calibre if they don’t have Champions League football next season, though?
