Arsenal are one opponent new Chelsea signing Geovany Quenda will be familiar with after going up against them last season.
On Wednesday, Chelsea finally confirmed the signing of Quenda from Sporting. The winger is expected to be part of the first-team squad next term, meaning that he will get another chance to face Arsenal.

Chelsea take on Arsenal in September, and Quenda will be hoping to make more of an impact than he did against them in the previous campaign.
Geovany Quenda struggled in cameo against Arsenal
Quenda made a cameo appearance in the second leg of Sporting’s Champions League quarter-final tie against the Gunners but failed to influence the game.
During his 19 minutes on the pitch, the 19-year-old did not register a single shot, dribble or key pass, according to Sofascore.
Quenda also failed to complete the one cross he attempted and lost possession seven times.
Chelsea fans, share your expectations for Xabi Alonso! 🏆
Not too many conclusions can be drawn about Quenda from that night. After all, Quenda had just returned from a serious injury, while Arsenal have the best defence in Europe.
The Portuguese is still a teenager as well. He has plenty of time to develop and learn how to make an impact in games against top opposition.
With that being said, while Quenda is certainly an exciting addition to this Chelsea squad, supporters still want players who can make a difference now. The Blues do not have enough of those presently, hence their 10th-place finish in the Premier League last season.
All in all, it will be interesting to see what the Portugal Under-21 international is capable of and what Xabi Alonso does with him.
Quenda is an intriguing prospect. He can play on both flanks but also as a wing-back. There is a chance that Alonso uses a back three, so Chelsea fans could very well see Quenda playing in the wing-back position next term.
