Christian Pulisic looks set to leave Chelsea for AC Milan this summer – although a deal has actually been in the pipeline for months now.

That is according to Calciomercato.

So, when did Christian Pulisic agree to leave Chelsea? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the Italian news outlet believe the United States international actually agreed to join AC Milan back in March.

Calciomercato believe Pulisic and AC Milan are extremely keen to unite at the San Siro, and there is confidence that Chelsea will accept the latest bid, which is said to be worth €20m (£17m) including add-ons.

AC Milan initially saw an insulting offer worth €14m (£12m) rejected by Chelsea.

Calciomercato add that Pulisic is putting lots of pressure on the Blues to let him leave, with the Evening Standard previously reporting that the American is hugely frustrated in west London.

It is also said that AC Milan are optimistic about signing the £150,000-a-week man due to their strong relationship with Chelsea, which has previously seen deals for Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek materialise.

Chelsea close to offloading one of Pochettino’s unwanted four in Pulisic

According to the Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to offload Pulisic, Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before Wednesday.

The Argentine is extremely keen to have a group of players who are fully committed to Chelsea, and has no intention of letting the aforementioned quartet hang around Cobham as they seek moves away.

Ziyech was close to leaving for Al-Nassr recently, although the Moroccan failed his medical.

If any of the quartet fail to secure exits, the Telegraph even believe Pochettino could create a B team for them, keeping the four unwanted players separated from the first-team.
