One Chelsea player looks like he is ready to be patient as he tries to get a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea allowed several of their players to leave the club on loan last season. That includes the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Romelu Lukaku and Armando Broja.
With new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca now at the helm, it is a fresh start at Stamford Bridge. Even so, some footballers who were not part of the first-team squad for the 2023/24 campaign still look like they want out.
Lukaku wants to join Napoli, while Kepa also appears to be keen on moving to another club before the transfer window closes.

Kepa Arrizabalaga prepared to wait for his move to Real Madrid
Kepa spent last term out on loan at Real Madrid, where he barely played. In total, the 29-year-old made just 13 starts in La Liga despite first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois being injured.
As the season went on, Carlo Ancelotti preferred Andriy Lunin over the Spaniard. Nevertheless, it looks like Kepa fancies another move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
According to Bernabeu Digital, Kepa could be willing to wait until August to get a transfer to Real Madrid. The same outlet claims that he is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia but is not open to a move there. In terms of specific teams from the Saudi Pro League, Al-Ittihad are keen on Kepa.
If the Spain international cannot get a switch to Real Madrid and ends up remaining at Chelsea, though, then he is unlikely to get any game time in the upcoming season.
Maresca already has Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic for the position between the sticks.
Will Kepa Arrizabalaga get his move to Real Madrid?
A lot will depend on what happens with Lunin. If the Ukrainian remains at the Bernabeu, then there will be little reason for Real Madrid to sign Kepa now that Courtois is fit again.
Even if there is a chance for the Chelsea man to return to the European champions, though, he should think twice before signing a contract with them.
Kepa, who is on a £150,000-a-week deal (Spotrac) at Stamford Bridge, is still 29 and is not going to play there. He would be wasting his prime years as a goalkeeper playing second-fiddle to Courtois.
