Mauricio Pochettino has received a boost in his pursuit of Harry Kane as the Chelsea target now asks to leave Tottenham.
That is according to Cadena SER in Spain.

Well, the Spanish news outlet believe Kane has asked Spurs to let him go if they receive a bid for him.
The England international had already requested to leave Tottenham in 2021 – now, as Spurs fail to progress and are once again hunting for a new manager, their No.10 has reiterated his desire to depart.
It comes after talkSPORT claimed that Pochettino would love to be reunited with Kane at Stamford Bridge, as the Argentine aims to bring a quality No.9 with him to Chelsea.
Cadena SER add that Tottenham are open to selling the £200,000-a-week man so they don’t lose him on a free transfer next summer, as he only has 12 months left on his contract.
It is also said that Real Madrid have been offered the chance to sign Kane, although the Spanish giants have doubts as they are already set to invest heavily on Jude Bellingham.
Real Madrid are also wary of signing England’s all-time record goalscorer after their last big-money capture of a player nearing his thirties, Eden Hazard, backfired.
The Pochettino factor could lure Kane to Chelsea
Without Pochettino at the helm, we would say that Chelsea have no chance of signing Kane, due to his strong connection to rivals Tottenham, and also the fact the Blues can’t offer him Champions League football.
However, the London-born striker built an excellent relationship with the South American at Tottenham, so if anybody can convince him to join Chelsea, it’s Pochettino.
Back in 2019, Kane told Sky Sports: “He (Pochettino) has a great personality. He’s a great manager, but he’s a great guy off the pitch as well. He treats you like a friend, but he earns that respect from you.
“He’s great to talk to, but, most importantly, he is a great coach and we all want to play for him.”
