Tyler Adams is very keen to play under Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea – and the Blues are now ready to trigger his release clause.
That is according to the Daily Mail.
So, what is the latest on Tyler Adams and Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, it is said that the United States international now wants to leave Leeds United.
Adams moved to Elland Road in a £20m deal from RB Leipzig back in July 2022, but suffered relegation to the Championship in his debut campaign in the Premier League.
Now – however – the American is keen on a swift return to England’s top-flight, and wants to join Chelsea instead of Aston Villa and other Premier League sides, who are not named by the Daily Mail.

Adams is believed to have a £20m release clause written into his contract at Elland Road, which Chelsea are now ready to activate as Pochettino looks for midfield reinforcements.
The Daily Mail believe Chelsea could even have the 24-year-old signed before next Sunday’s Premier League opener against Liverpool.
Chelsea want Tyler Adams and Moises Caicedo
You may be wondering what Chelsea’s interest in Adams means for Moises Caicedo.
It has been well documented that Chelsea have chased the Brighton No.25 throughout the summer, most recently seeing an £80m bid rejected after also having offers worth £60m, £65m and £70m rebuffed.
Caicedo has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, and is waiting on Brighton to agree a fee with the Blues.

Interestingly, Adams is not an alternative.
The Daily Mail believe Chelsea still want to sign Caicedo, as Pochettino aims to beef up his midfield department after losing Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante this summer.
Be sure to keep an eye on developments at Stamford Bridge, as Adams looks likely to arrive next after Robert Sanchez was signed.
