Football.london reported Adam Newson deduced that Jules Kounde could be the most straightforward of transactions for Chelsea to pull off before the end of the season.
Newson was taking part in a Q&A when a query about the Blues possibly sealing a signing ahead of the summer window popped up.
Although the next transfer market won’t officially open for at least another few months, the Stamford Bridge hierarchy will already be concocting a plan of who they want to bring in or expel.
These blueprints probably started getting drawn during January, a period where the club were mainly searching for cover at wing-back.
But they also dabbled in Ousmane Dembele’s signature, who could still land in South West London once his Barcelona contract expires this June.

Whilst links with Dembele arrive every so often, his fellow countryman continues to crop up in Chelsea conversations.
Will Kounde be coming to Chelsea?
Kounde has been on the radar of the Champions League holders since at least last year, when a deal was almost orchestrated for the Sevilla defender’s signature.
A disagreement in pricing caused the move to fall through, yet the two teams apparently remain in close contact with regards to the France international.
Chelsea will probably try again for the 23-year-old once the campaign concludes.
However, Newson suggested that the Blues might actually be able to capture Kounde ahead of schedule.

“Out of all the potential additions and reported targets, I suspect Jules Kounde would be the easiest to get sorted ahead of the window officially opening,” he said.
“Not only because he has a release clause that Chelsea could trigger if they so choose but because there has already been dialogue between the Blues and Sevilla last summer over the defender, who was very keen to come to Stamford Bridge.”
Get the deal done
Chelsea are no strangers to sorting out such premature transfers.
They did so with Christian Pulisic in 2019 and then Hakim Ziyech almost 12 months later.
Both attackers agreed to join the European champions earlier in the year but remained with their current side until the term finished.
Organising Kounde’s ticket from Sevilla early would relieve a lot of stress mounting around Marina Granovskaia’s shoulders, as she still needs to sort out the contracts of several defenders stationed in Thomas Tuchel’s group.
We could all do with a little less anxiety in our lives, couldn’t we Marina!
