Trevoh Chalobah is happy staying with Chelsea for the second half of the season.

That is according to the latest transfer speculation this morning.

Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah, 24, is one of the big talking points around Stamford Bridge on today’s deadline day.

There’s various reports suggesting that the Blues defender may exit West London, but perhaps the club’s academy graduate is staying after all.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported this morning that Chalobah is content with staying at Chelsea for now.

It is explained that he’s had loan interest from the likes of Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Atletico Madrid. However, there’s been no significant progress in any of those potential deals.

Also, there’s nothing advanced yet in terms of him moving anywhere on deadline day. The player himself is happy waiting until the end of the season before deciding his future.

Jacobs wrote on X: “Trevoh Chalobah is happy to stay at Chelsea until summer and build his fitness unless an ideal offer arrives. He’s had loan interest from Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Atletico Madrid this month but nothing has materialised. Interest from Milan is downplayed.

“Chalobah would ideally like to join a club with European football, or a likely chance of getting it next season. No guarantee he departs today now and nothing is advanced with any club as of Thursday morning.”

This comes after claims from Corriere dello Sport that AC Milan still hold an interest today in signing Chelsea’s Chalobah.

He’s not made a single appearance yet this season due to a long-term injury, albeit he’s now pictured back in first-team training. Therefore, we can understand why the player himself is not in any rush to make a final decision on his future.

Our worry is that the defender’s valuation will drastically lower if he gets little game time in the second half of the campaign.
