Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah remains a target for Italian giants AC Milan on today’s deadline day.

That is according to this morning’s transfer speculation.

Blues defender Trevoh Chalobah, 24, was linked with a potential move to the San Siro earlier in the January window.

TuttoMercatoWeb previously claimed that Milan included Chalobah on a shortlist of potential defensive options.

Now, the Serie A club are still looking at the Chelsea academy graduate in the final hours of the window.

Corriere dello Sport reports via its live transfer blog (10:16am, 1 February) that Milan are still aiming to complete the signing of a central defender today.

It is explained that Chelsea’s Chalobah is one of the names still on the table for them.

So, will Milan decide to ramp up late interest in the Blues centre-back?

Will Chalobah end up joining up with familiar faces such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic and Fikayo Tomori in Italy?

There’s been a lot of business between Chelsea and Milan in recent years, so it wouldn’t be overly shocking to see a transfer in the final hours of today’s deadline day.

Journalist Bobby Vincent recently shared on The Si Phillips Talks Chelsea Podcast that Chelsea want around £35 million for Chalobah.

Meanwhile, CaughtOffside reported that Chelsea are willing to allow Chalobah to leave the club, but they’d rather a permanent sale than a loan exit.

He’s a quality defender despite not playing a game this season due to injury, but his sale would generate pure profit on the balance sheet because of his academy roots.
