Trevoh Chalobah is now set to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.

He’s recently claimed on his Substack that Trevoh Chalobah is “fairly likely” to depart Stamford Bridge this summer.

It is understood that the 24-year-old defender is currently weighing up his options, with Chelsea open to the idea of selling him.

There’s been various transfer rumours recently linking clubs to Chalobah, but who will win the race for Chelsea’s talented academy graduate?

For example, Football.London reported last week that Newcastle United are lining up a move to sign Chaloah this summer.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mail claimed earlier this month that Serie A club Inter Milan have asked about signing Chalobah.

Previously described as a “soldier” by Graham Potter (Chelsea’s official website), Chalobah’s future at Chelsea is certainly a difficult one to discuss.

The versatile defender, who can play right-back or centre-back, hasn’t done too much wrong during 63 first-team appearances for the Blues in total.

However, we’re not convinced he’ll get many minutes next season when you look at his competition at Stamford Bridge.

Instead, we’re confident the Englishman can go elsewhere and be a big success.

Let’s wait and see what Mauricio Pochettino decides to do with him after observing him during pre-season this summer.
