Several new signings have already joined Chelsea in the summer transfer window, so it was only a matter of time before the focus shifted towards the exits.
The Blues are currently in the United States with their first-team squad preparing for the Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s fringe players have returned to training at Cobham and are expected to leave before this summer.
As we’ve seen with Noni Madueke, 23, the futures of Chelsea’s stars currently at the Club World Cup tournament are still not set in stone. Reports this week claim that Madueke is about to leave Chelsea and join Arsenal after the clubs agreed a deal in excess of £50m.
It now sounds like one of his teammates could be next to join him in the departure lounge.

Nicolas Jackson could be next to leave Chelsea
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson could soon follow Madueke out the exit doors.
The 24-year-old striker is currently with Enzo Maresca’s group at the Club World tournament, but a “serious” development about his future suggests he could end up exiting Stamford Bridge amid plenty of interest.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Be attentive to Nicolas Jackson’s situation at Chelsea because I’m hearing there is a possibility between Nicolas Jackson and Chelsea to part ways this summer. It’s getting concrete. It’s getting serious.
“There is interest from several clubs. I’m hearing in Premier League. I’m hearing also in Italy with AC Milan dreaming of Nicolas Jackson. At the moment it’s very expensive for Italian clubs in general and for AC Milan because Chelsea always made an important valuation…
“Premier League clubs, Serie A clubs, also Milan, are calling to understand the eventual conditions of the deal. The situation with Nicolas Jackson could be an interesting one. There is a concrete possibility to see the player leaving Chelsea.”
Even though reports in June claimed that Jackson has no desire to leave Chelsea, it looks like things have taken a sudden turn.
He’s been the starting striker for the Blues since he joined them two years ago from Villarreal for around £32m (The Guardian). However, his position is now under threat following the arrivals of both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro at Chelsea this summer.

Nicolas Jackson exit would feel harsh
If Jackson leaves Chelsea, it could be a tough one for some supporters to take.
The Senegal international has been hit and miss at times during his Blues career, but he’s a lot better than many of his recent predecessors in the centre-forward position.

Apparently, Chelsea want at least £47m for Jackson before selling him this summer. We would argue that he could be a great signing for most clubs in the Premier League and Serie A for close to the £50m mark.
It would be great to see Jackson compete with Delap and Pedro next season for minutes at Chelsea, but we understand he’s the type of player that needs to be playing regularly.
