Chelsea target Mohammed Kudus has been dazzling for Ghana at the World Cup this winter. In fact, statistics highlight that he’s even been out-dribbling superstars Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe at the tournament in Qatar.
Ghana did bow out of the competition after finishing bottom of Group H, but the Africans did put in some memorable performances.
Ajax star Kudus, 22, was definitely his nation’s brightest spark at the World Cup.
The attacking midfielder has some statistics to back up his impressive tournament, too.

Kudus out-dribbling Messi and Mbappe
Stats from Fbref share that Kudus successfully completed 10 of his 15 attempted dribbles at the World Cup, leaving him with a 66.6 per cent dribble success rate.
Argentina’s Messi and France’s Mbappe, who still remain in the competition, both have lower success rates in the dribbling department.
Messi has a 50 per cent success rate, completing nine of his 18 dribbles. Meanwhile, Mbappe has a 44.8 per cent conversion with 13 of his 29 dribbles successfully achieved.
This just goes to show how effective and dangerous Kudus really was with the ball at his feet.

Journalist Simon Phillips reports on his substack that Chelsea are interested in signing Kudus from Ajax. The Dutch giants would want at least £40million to sell him, though.
The dangerous playmaker has been enjoying a strong season so far with Ajax, scoring 10 goals in 21 games across all competitions so far.
There’s no doubt the African attacker’s performances at the World Cup should give him even more confidence going forward.
The 22-year-old young talent does look destined for big things if his development is overseen properly.
