The mid-season transfer window is now into its very final stages, so it’s interesting to hear fresh rumours claim that a Chelsea player’s agent is about to hold talks with a Champions League outfit about his client.
The January window closes at 11pm on Monday, which is on the same night as Chelsea hosting West Ham in the Premier League. It’s sure to be a frantic London derby on the pitch at Stamford Bridge, but will it be just as busy off of it on deadline day?
In terms of potential arrivals, Chelsea are most likely to sign a new attacker if there’s any late business.

Joao Felix’s agent will speak with AC Milan
Journalist Alfredo Pedulla claimed via X on Friday night that super agent Jorge Mendes is about to speak with Italian and Champions League club AC Milan. Apparently, Chelsea’s Joao Felix will be on the agenda in the meeting.
Blues attacker Felix, 25, is one of several high-profile players represented by Mendes.
The Portugal international has been linked with a potential move to the San Siro in recent weeks, and there’s now set to be some form of discussions late in the window.
Chelsea rejected Milan’s approach for Felix earlier in the window because they’re set on keeping him. It’ll be interesting to see if their stance remains the same in the final 72 hours of the window. Milan manager Sergio Conceicao is a giant fan of Blues playmaker Felix as the Serie A club continue to circle for him.
Felix is expected to stay with Chelsea for the rest of the season, even though he’s frustrated with his lack of minutes.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Premier League | 12 | 1 | 1 |
| Conference League | 5 | 4 | 0 |
| Carabao Cup | 2 | 0 | 1 |
| FA Cup | 1 | 2 | 0 |

How to get Joao Felix into the team
If he stays, we’d love to see Felix get more minutes at Chelsea in the second half of the season because just three starts in the Premier League isn’t enough for a player with his ability.
It could be the perfect time for Blues head coach Enzo Maresca to mix things up amid his team’s run of one win in their previous seven league matches.
Felix’s best position is as a central No.10, which is a spot locked down by Cole Palmer this season. However, one solution could be moving Palmer across to the right wing, where he flourished before, and bringing Felix into the XI that way.
Alternatively, Felix has the versatility to play as a left-winger, or even as a central striker.
It’s got to the point where supporters are desperate to see the £45m attacker (BBC) on the pitch more often.
