Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson would prefer to join Tottenham over Chelsea this summer.
That is according to a report from The Daily Mail.
They claim that Spurs are now preparing to make an opening bid for Brennan Johnson, who’s valued at £50million by Forest.
It is understood that Chelsea and West Ham have both considered making offers for the 22-year-old attacker, but he would rather go to Spurs if he’s to exit the City Ground.
The report adds that the Wales international feels he would have a better chance of playing regularly at Spurs.
Apparently, Chelsea have discussed the idea of signing Forest star Johnson but are currently weighing up other options.

We agree that Johnson wouldn’t walk straight into Chelsea’s starting line-up, so perhaps it’s best for all parties that this £50million transfer doesn’t happen. As for Spurs, it does look a better fit for the Welsh striker in North London.
Well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on CaughtOffside earlier this week that Johnson is not a priority transfer target right now for Chelsea.

Johnson is a versatile forward that scored 10 goals in 40 games across all competitions last season for Forest.
The young speedster has so many fantastic raw ingredients to his game, but it feels like he’s still one or two years away from really progressing to the next level. Therefore, staying with Forest could be a sensible decision for his development.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea side may be crying out for another forward to score goals if you’ve watched the start of the season. Ideally, it would be someone with Premier League know-how and top-level experience.
