Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale wants to leave the Emirates in January as he continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea.

According to 90min, Arsenal are willing to let Aaron Ramsdale go at the end of the season, but the 25-year-old would prefer an exit in the upcoming transfer window.

The same outlet has also claimed that Chelsea have Ramsdale on a shortlist of goalkeepers.

The Blues signed a new No.1 during the summer, Robert Sanchez, but appear to be keeping their options open.

TEAMtalk reported last month that Ramsdale is valued at £60m.

Aaron Ramsdale cannot wait until the summer for a move

Ramsdale really needs Chelsea or another club to come in hard for him now.

With Euro 2024 coming up, game time is essential and he is just not getting that at Arsenal right now. And following David Raya’s arrival, the man who has taken his spot between the sticks, that looks unlikely to change.

Unfortunately for the England international, though, it does not look like Arsenal are keen on letting him go in January.

As for Chelsea, do they really need to be prioritising the former Sheffield United man right now? Probably not.

Again, they only signed Sanchez in the previous transfer window. The Spaniard deserves at least a whole campaign before the Blues consider signing a new shot-stopper.

Rather, their focus should be on a striker, which does look to be the case. Talk of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen potentially moving to Stamford Bridge is not going away, though Chelsea may find it difficult to pull off such a transfer in January.

Nevertheless, they are better off pursuing that deal than chasing Ramsdale, who is unlikely to change that much for them. If Sanchez does not convince in the second half of the season, then Ramsdale is an opportunity the club should explore in the summer should he still be available.
