Chelsea may have some convincing to do if they want to sign one defender whom they were linked with during the summer.
Right now, Enzo Maresca is probably happy with his centre-back options. Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana are his first-choice centre-halves, while Tosin Adarabioyo, Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile are the ones providing cover for them.
Add Renato Veiga, who can also play in central defence, to the mix, and that is another option that the Chelsea manager has.
Veiga is likely to play at left-back against Liverpool this Sunday, though, with Marc Cucurella suspended for the game.

Murillo content at Nottingham Forest
Despite having all of those centre-half options, it was reported in July that Chelsea contacted Nottingham Forest about signing Murillo.
According to The Guardian, Forest valued Murillo at £70m, making it no surprise that he remained at the City Ground.
That is one problem for Chelsea. If they still want to sign him, there could also be another, with journalist Graeme Bailey telling Nottingham Forest News that the 22-year-old is happy with where he is.
He helped Forest to earn a point against Chelsea just before the international break, with the two sides drawing 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.
Why Murillo could stay at Nottingham Forest instead of joining Chelsea
Forest have made a good start to the season under Nuno Espirito Santo. Not only have they managed to hold Chelsea to a draw, but they have also been able to beat league leaders Liverpool.
Those four points have helped Forest get into 10th. You can understand, then, why Murillo is content at the moment.
He is also thriving at the City Ground. According to WhoScored, the Brazilian is currently making the most clearances per game in Nuno’s squad.
“He’s got a lovely left foot,” former Manchester City defender Michal Richards said on The Rest Is Football (via GiveMeSport) back in May when discussing Murillo.
With all of the other centre-back options at Chelsea, there is no guarantee that he would get the chance to succeed there.
