Chelsea are still considering investing heavily into a big-money signing at some point during the summer transfer window.

The Blues have already brought in Liam Delap, as well as added Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr to their ranks after previously agreeing their additions.

Despite that being their only business before the Club World Cup, Enzo Maresca will be well aware that he needs more if he is to progress with the side who finished in the top four last season.

Chelsea have been tipped to make three more major signings before the transfer window closes, with one of those being a versatile attacking profile.

One name who has been mentioned as a target is Mohammed Kudus, currently at West Ham but a player who has previously been a target of Chelsea.

Mohammed Kudus changes agents amid Chelsea transfer interest

The Blues failed with a 2023 swoop for Kudus, however now are considering entering the fray again for the Ghana international.

The player himself seems to be open to a move away from the club, and has perhaps given the biggest sign yet that he is open to leaving the London Stadium.

According to The Sun, Kudus has signed with a new agency who have previously helped play a part in some of the biggest transfers in world football. This includes deals for Virgil van Dijk and former Chelsea man Kai Havertz.

The club have already been told Kudus would be a great fit for Chelsea, however the price tag could remain an issue. The Sun’s report stated that it would cost £85m to activate his release clause.

Chelsea pitched ambitious plot to sign Kudus

Given the fact the Blues are unlikely to want to spend that level of cash on one transfer, they have looked at pitching other methods of signing the attacker.

One angle pitched was a swap deal. Chelsea offered up to seven players to West Ham to try and convince them to lower the price, however they were told the Hammers were wanting cash only.

If this deal is deemed too expensive, the Blues may turn their attentions to Joao Pedro, who can also fulfil numerous positions in attack.

Chelsea deem Pedro the perfect option for them this summer, and are no strangers to making big-name signings from Brighton.
