Reports from Italy have claimed that one European side are ready to make the trip to London in order to try and sign a player from Chelsea.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, AC Milan are now prepared to make a move to sign Trevoh Chalobah now he is firmly on the road to recovery from injury.

Chalobah is yet to feature in a competitive game since Mauricio Pochettino took over the side, however this is not totally down to his abilities.

He has spent the majority of the campaign on the treatment table after suffering an issue in pre-season over in the United States.

The lack of gametime though has coincided with reports that he is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, with them doing plenty of work to strengthen at the back in recent months.

The return of Levi Colwill coincided with the addition of Axel Disasi over the summer, perhaps making it clear that they were open to the sale of the Englishman.

They pushed during the summer transfer window for Chalobah’s sale, with it being discussed all the way up until the final few hours of the window.

However, a move to either Tottenham or Bayern Munich did not come to fruition.

His name is back at the forefront of conversations among some of European elite sides though, with it now being discussed over in Italy the potential of signing him.

AC Milan have been the beneficiaries of plenty of players who were out of favour at Chelsea in recent months. Last summer saw them add Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to their ranks.

The former has recently been named player of the month for the entire league, and is beginning to show the ability that many Chelsea fans knew was hidden somewhere in him that they didn’t see enough.
