AC Milan are now planning to advance their pursuit of Chelsea target Yunus Musah after wrapping up a deal for Christian Pulisic.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano.

So, what is the latest on Chelsea target Yunus Musah? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, it was 90min who claimed that Chelsea remain in contact with the United States international’s representatives, after failing with a bid to sign him in January.

Now – however – AC Milan are planning to make a serious push for Musah’s signature.

Romano believes the Italian giants are planning to advance their interest in the American after sealing a £19m deal to sign Pulisic from Chelsea, and a fresh round of negotiations are scheduled to take place with Valencia.

The reliable Italian journalist adds that AC Milan have already agreed personal terms with Musah, and he is very keen on a move to the San Siro.

If Stefano Pioli’s side are successful in their attempts to sign the 20-year-old this summer, he is expected to partner Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield.

Romano has previously claimed that Valencia are willing to sell Musah for just €20m (£17m) this summer.

Chelsea not in a position to focus on Yunus Musah

The timing of AC Milan’s new talks for Musah is hardly ideal for Chelsea.

As things stand, the Blues are focusing all of their energy into a deal to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton, which will make it difficult for those on the recruitment team at Stamford Bridge to also battle AC Milan for Musah.

A story from the Evening Standard states that Chelsea are set to make a new £70m bid plus add-ons for the Ecuadorian this week, and he is desperate for the move to go through.

While Caicedo would be an immense signing by the Blues, the difficulty of negotiations with Brighton could mean Chelsea have to sacrifice Musah.

Nevertheless, anything could happen this summer, so be sure to keep an eye on both situations – it is not impossible for both to arrive at Stamford Bridge.
