Armando Broja is now keen to leave Chelsea after Mauricio Pochettino signed Nicolas Jackson – with West Ham and Crystal Palace interested.

That is according to TEAMtalk.

What’s the story?

Well, it seems as if the £32m signing of Jackson has caused a bit of an upset at Stamford Bridge.

TEAMtalk believe Broja is keen to leave Chelsea after the Senegal international arrived in west London to compete with him, and would prefer a permanent move rather than a loan exit.

The Albania international and his representatives are said to be exploring options, with many opportunities in the Premier League opening up for the 21-year-old.

Along with West Ham and Crystal Palace, Brentford and Burnley are also keen on signing the Chelsea No.18 this summer.

Broja endured a difficult 2022/23 campaign, making just two Premier League starts before a serious knee injury in December ended his season early.

Pochettino may try to convince Broja to stay at Chelsea

By the sounds of it, Pochettino is a big fan of Broja – Fabrizio Romano believes the Argentine wants to work with the Chelsea academy graduate.

If that is true, you would imagine that the South American will try his best to keep the youngster in west London.

Broja must sit down and hold talks with Pochettino about his place at Stamford Bridge, as it seems he may be feeling a bit disillusioned by Jackson’s arrival based on what TEAMtalk are claiming.

If the 51-year-old cannot guarantee regular opportunities for Broja, then perhaps a parting of ways would be best for both parties.

Ideally, Pochettino will be able to convince the Slough-born striker to stay, as it would be a real shame if Chelsea lost one of their most talented young players.
