Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga, however have their eyes on another Chelsea player to bolster their first team squad.
The Spanish goalkeeper is set to join a long list of Chelsea flops who have joined the Gunners, with the likes of David Luiz and Kai Havertz previously making the permanent switch.
Joining as back up shot stopper suggests that Kepa will not have a prominent role to play at the Emirates, while the Blues will be delighted to see his weekly wages off the books as they look to go a different direction with their own project.
Mikel Arteta though seems to not be done yet , and believes his side can benefit from bringing in a Chelsea player who is currently with Enzo Maresca at the ongoing Club World Cup.

Arsenal working hard to sign Noni Madueke from Chelsea
Noni Madueke started two of the three group stage games, with them being the two matches that the Blues won on their way to finishing second in the group.
However, Arsenal are keeping an eye on his situation, and TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that they are pushing forwards with efforts to sign the England winger.
They already have Bukayo Saka in his preferred right-wing role, however are keen on bringing in someone to play on the opposite side, the position Madueke has found himself playing in for Chelsea recently.

Chelsea’s stance on selling Madueke
Maresca praised Madueke for his improvements during his first season as manager of the club, and despite competition for his place he remained an important Chelsea starter.
However, it has been said that Chelsea are willing to move on from Madueke, and instead bring in a versatile attacker in his place.
Mohammed Kudus and Joao Pedro have both been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge, with their futures at West Ham and Brighton respectively being anything but secure.
With Estevao Willian set to join the first team as well, it could be all change in the final third next season for Chelsea, and Madueke could be one to be sacrificed.
