Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is dreaming of reuniting with Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic in Germany, according to reports.
Mateo Kovacic, 28, is a Blues midfielder linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
N1 claimed earlier this month that Manchester City are interested in signing Kovacic, who could be sold for around £30million.
The Croatia international has been an important player at Stamford Bridge for a few years now, including when Thomas Tuchel was in the manager’s dugout in West London.
The Times claimed at the end of last month that Tuchel wants to raid Chelsea to try sign Mason Mount this summer.
Now, Tuchel reportedly has eyes on another star at his previous club.

Journalist Christian Falk has reported on social media that Tuchel would like to add Kovacic to his Bayern squad.
“Thomas Tuchel is dreaming of a player like Mateo Kovacic. The Croatian is out of contract in 2024 and speaks perfect German,” Falk wrote on Twitter.
We love Kovacic as a player, like so many of the Chelsea fanbase do.
But if he’s not going to sign a new contract, it would make sense to sell him at the end of the season with his current deal expiring in 2024.
The technical central midfielder has the individual quality to contribute to any top club squad.
The Evening Standard recently claimed that Chelsea will not stand in Kovacic’s way of leaving this summer if he wants out.

It’s been a very tough start for Tuchel during his opening month in charge as Bayern manager, winning just two of his opening seven matches in charge.
However, most Chelsea fans will vouch for Tuchel being an excellent coach.
He could definitely help put his imprint on the Bayern squad if he added the likes of Kovacic and Mount to it next season.
