Antonio Conte’s Napoli side are now considering a move to sign another Chelsea player.
Antonio Conte, 55, proved his credentials again as a top-class manager last season by guiding Napoli to the Serie A title. The former Chelsea boss achieved that with some ex-Blues players in the squad, too.
Napoli signed high-profile striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in 2024, and he played a major role in winning the Italian league title last term. On top of that, former Blues midfielder Billy Gilmour was part of the squad in Naples.
It’s been reported this summer that Napoli are admirers of defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who Chelsea could sell for around £30m.
Interestingly, fresh claims suggest that Conte’s side are also keen on another individual on the books at Stamford Bridge.

Raheem Sterling appears on Napoli radar
According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are now looking at Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling as a potential target in the summer transfer window.
The report explains that Napoli are chasing Bologna winger Dan Ndoye, 24, but Sterling has emerged as an alternative on their radar.
Chelsea want to sell Sterling for £20m this summer, and the speculation is beginning to intensify around his future. If Napoli do ramp up their interest for the 30-year-old Englishman, there could be a lot of competition.
Bayer Leverkusen admire Sterling as they get ready for imminent talks, but they would only be keen on a loan deal. Meanwhile, Italian giants Juventus also like Sterling, so the individual is still popular in Serie A despite an underwhelming loan spell at Arsenal last season.

Antonio Conte once praised Raheem Sterling
Italian boss Conte will know all about Sterling’s qualities from his time coaching in England, both at Chelsea and Tottenham.
Even though the experienced winger is showing signs of decline in his career, perhaps linking up with an enthusiastic manager like Conte at Napoli is just what he needs to rediscover some form.
Back in November 2017, Conte described Sterling as a “very dangerous” player via The Telegraph. Incidentally, he was in the Chelsea manager’s dugout at the time, while Sterling was at the peak of his powers in Manchester.
