Arsenal have now been linked with a move for AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori, which should alert the attention of Chelsea.
Fikayo Tomori, 26, has gone from strength to strength since leaving Stamford Bridge and moving to the San Siro in 2021.
The England defender spent well over a decade in Chelsea’s academy and made a first-team breakthrough in West London, but his senior career has really taken off in Italy with AC Milan in the last few years.
Now, the fast centre-back is tipped to make a potential return to the Premier League.

First of all, FootballTransfers claimed today that Arsenal have expressed an interest in signing Milan defender Tomori.
It is explained that their interest is still in its early stages, but Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has picked him out as a possible addition at the Emirates Stadium.
This comes after recent speculation linking Chelsea with a move to re-sign Tomori.
Journalist Simon Phillips reported via his Substack back in November that Chelsea have been internally discussing the idea of bringing Tomori back to the club.
We’ll have to wait and see if either London club decides to ramp up interest in the Milan centre-half now the January window is open for business.
Arsenal interested in Fikayo Tomori
Regular Milan watchers will know that Tomori’s been an ever-present in their side and so impressive for a long time now. In fact, he’s now up to 129 senior appearances for the Serie A giants.
It could be a tough task for any centre-back breaking up an Arsenal partnership at the back of Gabriel and William Salbia, but they need strength in depth to take them to the next step.
As for Chelsea, the head coach Mauricio Pochettino is still trying to fit all the pieces of the jigsaw together.
We think this version of Tomori could come in and improve the current Chelsea, but would he seriously want a return home to his boyhood club?
The Blues are going to be in a much better place once they find a settled centre-back combination that they’re happy sticking with.
