Arsenal are looking at Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic after Chelsea had the opportunity to sign him during the summer.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey, speaking on Talking Transfers, Arsenal and Manchester United both have an interest in Dusan Vlahovic.

It will now be interesting to see if Chelsea consider the 23-year-old in January as they look to bring a new centre-forward to the club.

LondonWorld claimed in September that the Blues actually turned down the chance to sign Vlahovic in the last transfer window. He cost Juventus £66.6m (Sky Sports).

As of now, Vlahovic still does not appear to be a priority for Chelsea, who are instead targeting another No.9 from Serie A, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

Dusan Vlahovic still has admirers in England

While Chelsea may not be too keen on Vlahovic, there are a couple of other clubs who appear to be looking at the Serbian.

Discussing his future on Talking Transfers, Bailey said: “Arsenal are looking, United have always liked him as well and keep an eye out. But no, as it stands, he looks pretty happy, him and [Federico] Chiesa.”

Should Chelsea reconsider their Dusan Vlahovic stance?

It depends. After all of the money the club have spent, in an ideal world for Todd Boehly, Mauricio Pochettino‘s current crop of forwards would all keep scoring until the end of the season.

Nicolas Jackson has been on fire of late, netting four goals in his last two games, while Christopher Nkunku is expected to return from the sidelines soon.

If Chelsea get to January with both of those players in good form, perhaps there will not be a need to sign a new striker.

But if that does not happen, the likes of Osimhen and Brentford’s Ivan Toney are not available and Pochettino feels that he really needs a new No.9, then Vlahovic would obviously not be the worst name to consider, with the Serbia international having quite a good goal record in Serie A. It is a lot of ifs, though, so it is not one we expect to happen.
