Borussia Dortmund are keen to sign Chelsea defender Ian Maatsen permanently.
Ian Maatsen joined Dortmund on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window.
And now, according to HITC, the German club want to strike an agreement with their English counterparts before the summer to sign the left-back permanently.
The same outlet has also claimed Maatsen is keen to join Dortmund on a long-term basis.
All of the above comes as no surprise because Maatsen has really thrived under Edin Terzic. He has already provided two assists as a full-back.

Borussia Dortmund want to strike Ian Maatsen deal with Chelsea before the summer
Dortmund seem fearful of potential competition as they look to agree a permanent deal with Chelsea for Maatsen as soon as possible.
How much will they have to pay to acquire him? Well, a report from The Telegraph claims that the Dutch youngster has a £35m release clause in his contract.
However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Chelsea may actually be prepared to sell for a slightly lower fee than that.
Even at £35m, though, Maatsen could still end up being a bargain for Dortmund. He is proving that he can make an impact in the Bundesliga, while the 21-year-old is also quite versatile. He can play on the left side of defence and in a more attacking position on the same flank.
Still being so young, Maatsen obviously has time to grow and develop into a much better footballer as well. It is no surprise, then, that Dortmund want to wrap up a deal for him early. Other clubs are surely going to try and enter the fray for his signature.
We will have to wait a bit longer to see what does happen with Maatsen. But with that release clause in his contract, it is quite clear that Chelsea are happy to offload him permanently. Whether fans feel the same way is another matter.
