Armando Broja is desperate to stay at Chelsea and fight for his starting position.

That is according to a report from the Daily Express.

They claim that Armando Broja, 21, is set to stay at Stamford Bridge to fight for a spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

It is understood that the centre-forward is intent on sticking around to try force his way into the starting line-up.

This comes at a time when there’s transfer speculation that Premier League rivals West Ham want to sign the Chelsea striker this summer.

The Guardian reported this week that West Ham manager David Moyes retains interest in signing Broja right now.

We’re delighted to hear the player himself is desperate to prove himself at Stamford Bridge, though.

In our view, Broja can be a surprise package for Chelsea this season and bring a lot to the party.

He’s a powerful centre-forward with strength and rapid speed. In fact, Raheem Sterling previously told BT Sport that Broja is the quickest in the Chelsea squad.

As it stands, Broja can compete with new signings Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson for the role of Chelsea’s starting centre-forward in the 2023/24 season.

He was desperately unlucky to miss the second half of the previous campaign with a knee injury, but we hope he’s back playing very soon.

The Albania international was pictured training with the group during the opening weeks of pre-season, but he’s not been included on the pre-season tour of the United States while he continues his rehabilitation.
