Chelsea are still a long way off agreeing a deal to sign Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
That is according to a report from The Athletic.
They claim that Chelsea are £30million off Brighton’s asking price for Moises Caicedo during this summer transfer window.
The report adds that negotiations between the two Premier League rivals are stuck because of the sizeable gulf in valuations.

This Caicedo story is the ongoing transfer saga of the summer window.
We desperately want Chelsea to sign the 21-year-old defensive midfielder, preferably very soon to allow him some time to settle into a new squad and environment.
However, Brighton are proving yet again why they’re renowned as such tough and clever negotiators.
It feels like time is running out now for a deal to be sorted before the new season begins in just over a couple of weeks time.

The Athletic previous claimed that Chelsea had a bid worth around £70million rejected by Brighton for Caicedo.
So, are the Blues now prepared to make him a £100million player?
Described as “incredible” by Adam Lallana on Sky Sports, Caicedo ticks so many boxes as a midfield general and is proven in the Premier League.
Hopefully, Chelsea can still find a way to drive Brighton’s valuation down, but we’re getting more and more worried with every passing day that this continues.
Our feeling is that the Blues may need to slightly overpay on this transfer to get it done, and hope the player fulfils the vast potential he’s clearly got.
