Chelsea are reportedly in discussions about signing one of the quickest stars to ever play in the German Bundesliga league.
Chelsea have made several high-profile signings from the German top division in their history. For example, the Blues signed the likes of Michael Ballack, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Christopher Nkunku from Bundesliga clubs.
Now, the Blues could make another raid on the Bundesliga in 2025.
In terms of outright pace, there’s already a lot in the current ranks at Stamford Bridge with stars such as Pedro Neto and Nicolas Jackson. Incidentally, Noni Madueke claimed Chelsea teammate Neto is “lightning in transition”.

Chelsea hold talks to sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi
Journalist Christian Falk has reported via X that Chelsea are currently in talks about signing Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.
It is explained that Blues are discussing a move to sign the 22-year-old attacker in the summer transfer window.
Apparently, Napoli would like to sign the Dortmund winger in the current January window, but a move to Italy is deemed unlikely because he’ll cost too much.
There’s already plenty of attacking talent in the squad at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca does rate the Dortmund star. Previous reports claim that Maresca is keen on Dortmund’s £42m-rated Adeyemi, especially because of his pace.
Chelsea discussed Dortmund winger Adeyemi last summer as a potential transfer target, so perhaps it’s not the biggest surprise that he’s back on their radar.
Karim Adeyemi is one of the fastest in Bundesliga history
If Chelsea do end up signing versatile Dortmund attacker Adeyemi, fans can be excited about seeing a rapid star.
Back in November, Bundesliga’s website shared that Adeyemi’s top speed of 22.77 mph (36.65 km/h) is the third fastest speed ever recorded in the German top flight since records began in 2011.
The Germany international possesses blistering pace and is impossible to catch when he gets into his stride.
In terms of this season, Adeyemi has scored five goals and created five assists in just 11 appearances across all competitions. He missed a couple of months recently with an injury problem, but looks sharp when he plays anywhere across the attack.
