Chelsea are now getting ready to try sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.
That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.
Phillips has reported on his Substack that a move for Marc Guehi is currently ‘being prepared’ by Chelsea.
The Blues sold the talented centre-half to Crystal Palace in 2021, but it sounds like they’re stepping up attempts to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.

There’s been some speculation recently suggesting Chelsea could be trying to re-sign Guehi in this transfer window.
The Daily Mail claimed earlier this month that Chelsea are considering a move for the £60million-rated Palace centre-back following a serious injury to Blues star Wesley Fofana in pre-season.
Guehi, who’s now a senior England international, is growing into one of the best young defenders across the Premier League.
The 23-year-old is a powerful centre-back with pace and strength, which he combines with great maturity for someone his age.
Goalkeeper Josef Bursik, who played alongside Guehi for England’s Under-21s, was extremely positive about him a couple of years ago. In fact, he described him as “massive” and a “brick wall” on England’s Twitter account.

In our view, Chelsea’s interest in Guehi seems fairly pointless. We’re certainly worried to hear the club are now preparing an actual move.
He’s a quality player with big potential and £60million for him could be a calculated gamble for a lot of top clubs.
However, Chelsea are stacked in the centre-back department, even without injured star Wesley Fofana for the foreseeable future.
We would rather the club not splash another £60million on someone not guaranteed to start games.
