Chelsea are reportedly “very serious” about signing Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko.

Dortmund striker Moukoko, who’s just 18, is a very exciting youngster.

The teenage centre-forward is already making his mark at first-team level, scoring six goals and making six assists this season so far in Dortmund colours.

Also, he was included as part of the Germany squad at the World Cup in Qatar.

With the emerging talent already achieving great things, it’s no real surprise to hear his name linked in widespread transfer rumours.

Chelsea very serious about signing Youssoufa Moukoko

Journalist Ben Jacobs has shared that Chelsea are currently leading the race to sign Moukoko from Dortmund.

He says Graham Potter’s side are “very serious” about the forward, who is viewed as an ideal fit at Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea are the frontrunners at the moment and he fits their mould absolutely perfectly,” Jacobs told GiveMeSport.

“I think that is why they’re very seriously entertaining that particular signing and we know from Moukoko’s agent that he hasn’t yet and isn’t close to signing a new deal at Dortmund.

“This is a very interesting scenario because, from Dortmund’s point of view, they’ll want him to sign in January and that will rule out a January move.”

Described as “amazing” by Erling Haaland a couple of years ago, Moukoko is starting to do some incredible things for someone so young.

The 18-year-old frontman was starting to play quite an important role for Dortmund pre-World Cup, so can he continue where he left off in 2023?

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea boss Potter wants to draft Moukoko straight into his squad if a deal can be arranged in the New Year.

If you look at what the youngster’s done so far in his career, he definitely looks good enough to play in the Premier League with his explosive pace and power at the top end of the pitch.
