Graham Potter will throw Youssoufa Moukoko straight into the first-team if he signs for Chelsea in January.

According to transfer insider Simon Phillips, Potter has plans to call-upon the teenager immediately, permitted Borussia Dortmund allow him to leave in the winter window.

Moukoko has only recently been linked to the Premier League side, yet the rumours have snowballed rather considerably in the past few days.

Todd Boehly is apparently eyeing up the exciting 18-year-old, as he senses a chance to snap up one of Europe’s hottest properties for a relatively low price.

Described by Erling Haaland as ‘brilliant’, the sky really is the limit for the German international.

The young forward will be out of contract in the summer, and there is not yet any significant movement on Dortmund’s side towards offering a renewal.

This has of course alerted the big chess players on the continent, including the Stamford Bridge chain of command.

Youssoufa Moukoko made for Chelsea

Chelsea are no strangers to sniffing out a deal, especially when it includes the boldest and brightest.

Yet, where in the past they may have sent a new, youthful signing straight out on loan, or into the development set-up, Potter seemingly has a different approach for Moukoko.

“Chelsea have got scouts everywhere at the moment. You’re seeing Chelsea linked with players like Endrick and, obviously, Moukoko as well. They are around a similar age group,” said Phillips.

“But the difference is Moukoko would come into Chelsea’s first-team straightaway. I’ve had that confirmed.”

The timing arguably couldn’t be better for Moukoko to help out the senior squad.

Armando Broja’s awful injury means Potter is in the market for another attacker.

Whilst Moukoko will not expected to carry the burden of firing Chelsea up the league table, he could offer decent support to those ahead of him in the pecking order.
