Chelsea could return to the South American market to sign another rising star after recruiting the likes of Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez.
Estevao and Paez officially joined Chelsea in the last transfer window, and the former has already made an impact in west London.
The winger has started in the Blues’ last two matches, registering an assist in their 5-1 win against West Ham United.

Estevao and Paez could now be joined by another South American talent as the Club World Cup winners weigh up whether to make a move for him.

Chelsea considering Deinner Ordonez approach
After signing Paez from Independiente del Valle, who also produced Moises Caicedo, Chelsea could return to the Ecuadorian outfit to buy their teenage defender Deinner Ordonez.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are considering whether to make a “formal approach” to sign the centre-back.
Despite still being just 15 years of age, it is thought that Ordonez could cost £14m. Chelsea paid around £17m for Paez when they agreed to sign him from Independiente del Valle in 2023. At the time, the Ecuador international was still only 16.
Another Ecuadorian defender recently moved to the Premier League, with Piero Hincapie joining Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen on deadline day.
Chelsea were linked with Hincapie, but the club decided not to sign a new central defender despite Levi Colwill’s ACL injury.

Deinner Ordonez’s playing style
If Ordonez had been a bit older, the Independiente del Valle wonderkid could have been perfect for Enzo Maresca.
As per the Daily Mail’s report, Ordonez is a left-sided centre-back who is great on the ball and capable of building up play from the back.
At Chelsea, Maresca, of course, wants his defence to pass the ball and possession to be recycled. It is one reason why Colwill’s injury has been so damaging to the Blues, with the England international being excellent on the ball.
In the future, perhaps Ordonez could serve as an alternative to Colwill as Chelsea consider whether to sign him or not.
