Chelsea could now open talks with Juventus over the signing of Dusan Vlahovic within a matter of days.
That is according to Alfredo Pedulla.
So, what is the latest on Chelsea and Dusan Vlahovic? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well – according to Corriere dello Sport – Juventus have already dangled a carrot in front of Chelsea by telling the Blues they can sign the Serbia for just £21m, if Romelu Lukaku is included in the deal as well.
However, Pedulla believes the Belgian only wants Inter Milan, so further talks are expected to take place between Chelsea and Juventus in regards to Vlahovic.
Pedulla is claiming that Juventus are aiming to finalise some outgoings before resuming talks with Chelsea over the 23-year-old’s availability, with Denis Zakaria, who spent last season on loan at Stamford Bridge, one player the Italian giants are trying to sell.
Once a few sales are made, the expectation is that Chelsea and Juventus will start fresh talks over Vlahovic next week, with the Serbia international said to be unhappy at the Allianz Stadium.

Pedulla adds that the Juventus No.9 is waiting for talks to develop between both sides – by the sounds of it, he is feeling quite agitated in Turin, and would love to leave.
Vlahovic struggled out on the pitch last season with just ten goals in 27 Serie A appearances, and Pedulla mentions that the Belgrad-born striker is not aligned with Massimiliano Allegri’s tactical approach.
Vlahovic is a risk for Chelsea
It goes without saying that Chelsea are often a bit cursed when it comes to signing strikers.
The likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Fernando Torres, Lukaku and many more have struggled to lead the line for Chelsea over the years, and Vlahovic’s goal return from last season does not fill us with much confidence that things will be different for him in west London.

Nevertheless – according to Rudy Galetti – Pochettino views the £215,000-a-week striker as the ideal frontman for his plans, so if that truly is the case, Todd Boehly needs to get behind the Argentine and back him.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as talks could resume over a deal next week.
