Chelsea could struggle to lure Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres to Stamford Bridge.
Viktor Gyokeres recently stated that he is happy at Sporting Lisbon, while according to TEAMtalk, Chelsea might struggle to entice him to west London.
The outlet claims that Gyokeres has an £86m release clause, which a club like Chelsea should be able to afford, but the Sweden international will look at potential moves to Spain, Germany and Italy before considering a switch to the Premier League.
The above shows just how difficult it could be for the Blues to sign a new centre-forward in 2024.
The names they are looking at do not look cheap and in Gyokeres’ case, it does not seem like he is too keen on a move to England.

Viktor Gyokeres could move to Spain
Gyokeres has already played in England before, albeit in the Championship. Perhaps the 25-year-old would prefer another new experience if he were to leave Sporting instead of returning to English football.
You would have to question, though, if Gyokeres is good enough for Real Madrid or Barcelona.
He is on fire right now, having scored 17 goals in 20 appearances for Sporting this season. But this is his first real prolific campaign in a top European league.
You can argue that he needs to do more before moving up to that level.
Gyokeres has clearly done enough to catch Chelsea’s attention, though, and at a lower price, perhaps he would be worth going after.
However, £86m on a striker who has only really burst onto the scene recently seems a bit risky. But the No.9 market does not look too great right now, so it is understandable that the Blues are considering an in-form player like Gyokeres.
Still, having spent so much money on individuals who are yet to deliver, Chelsea need to be a bit careful here.
