Chelsea are in discussions with two clubs about sending them Cesare Casadei on loan for the 2023/24 season.
That is according to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.
He reports that Chelsea are currently weighing up two bids to take Cesare Casadei on loan.
It is understood that Championship side Leicester City and Serie A club Genoa are the duo competing for the 20-year-old’s signature.

Romano claimed on Twitter last week that Leicester were advancing in talks to sign Casadei from Chelsea on loan.
Now, there’s the added complication that Genoa want to take him to Italy.
Romano posted on Twitter yesterday evening: “Chelsea are considering two requests more than others for Cesare Casadei: Leicester with Enzo Maresca insisting and Serie A side Genoa.
“Discussions continue to pick the best solution for the Italian midfielder.”

Chelsea paid £12million (Guardian) to sign Casadei from Inter Milan in last summer’s transfer window.
The Italian box-to-box midfielder did well last year during time with Chelsea’s Under-21s side, plus a stint out on loan in the Championship with Reading.
He did catch the eye during this summer’s pre-season tour of the United States with the Blues first team. For example, Jason Cundy massively praised Casadei’s performance in a friendly win against Wrexham, via the club’s official website.
However, we think a season-long loan getting regular senior minutes would be great for his development. It’s tough to pick whether Leicester or Genoa would be a better fit for his improvement, though.
