It looks like Noni Madueke is on the verge of leaving Chelsea after two-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge.

Even though Noni Madueke, 23, has been with Chelsea at the Club World Cup tournament, he’s been heavily linked with a summer transfer exit.

Reports on Thursday claimed that Arsenal have agreed to sign Madueke, who’s set to join them on a five-year contract.

The left-footed winger, who has seven England caps, has had some success in his Blues career. However, he appears to be on his way out as Enzo Maresca’s squad moves in a new direction.

Chelsea fans suggest Rodrygo should replace Noni Madueke

If Madueke leaves, Chelsea will still go into next season with the likes of Pedro Neto, Jamie Gittens, Estevao Willian and Tyrique George as first-team wingers.

However, a selection of Blues fans on X have urged the club to go after Real Madrid star Rodrygo, 24, to replace Madueke. One supporter even claimed he would make them Premier League title contenders next season.

One fan said: “I would love to see Chelsea use that Noni Madueke money on Rodrygo as I think he would be the perfect winger for Chelsea and have that Brazilian link up with players like João Pedro, Santos and Estevao.”

“One thing is for sure Madueke going to Arsenal would feel so much sweeter if we went and used that money to put towards securing Rodrygo from Madrid! Make it happen Chelsea,” another posted.

One supporter claimed: “Now that Madueke is going, we have Neto and Estevao. On the left, we only really have Gittens, so I think a Rodrygo transfer would be our best bet right now, he can pretty much cover both wings. The head loss it would cause to Arsenal fans would be spectacular. We need to get this done.”

“I’m praying we go for Rodrygo after the departure of Madueke. It just seems too perfect of an opportunity for us to pass up. Please Chelsea Football Club. This signing would instantly make us title contenders again where we belong,” another commented.

It would certainly be a major statement from Chelsea if they want out and chased Rodrygo’s signature after Madueke’s sale. In 270 Madrid appearances, he’s scored 68 goals and created 51 assists.

The Brazilian winger struggled for minutes at the Club World Cup this summer during the first set of games under new Madrid boss Xabi Alonso, so all eyes are on him to see how his future plays out.

Incidentally, the talented winger is still under contract at the Bernabeu until 2028.

Back in May, reports claimed that Chelsea held talks with Rodrygo’s camp as they weighed up a potential move for the Madrid winger this summer.

It was reported at the end of May that Rodrygo is determined to stay with Madrid. In fairness, the skilful attacker has been a key player for the Spanish giants for several years now, winning 12 major trophies during his time.

However, it feels odd that Rodrygo only started one of Madrid’s six matches at the Club World Cup.
