Chelsea could make a couple of big signings in this transfer window as they target Brighton & Hove Albion’s Joao Pedro and another forward.
Chelsea have already brought in Liam Delap, who has not made a bad start at the club.
While the striker did not have his best game against Benfica in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, he has still managed to score one goal and provide one assist in the tournament.
Delap could now be joined by Pedro and another Premier League star if Chelsea get their way. Pedro is wanted by both Chelsea and Newcastle United ahead of the new season.

West Ham turn down Chelsea’s verbal proposal for Mohammed Kudus
As well as Pedro, Chelsea are also keen on West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus. Earlier this month, The Chelsea Chronicle was told that Chelsea had offered players to West Ham in their bid to land Kudus.
Since then, journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the Conference League winners have made a verbal proposal for Kudus worth around £50m.
According to the journalist’s sources, that verbal proposal was turned down and was not an official offer, but Chelsea still remain interested in signing both Kudus and Pedro.
One player Chelsea are close to landing is Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens. Gittens could be a Chelsea player by next week.
It is quite clear, though, that they do not want to stop at Gittens and Delap.

Joao Pedro knows what club he wants to join
While Chelsea could still go on to land both Kudus and Pedro, right now, the latter looks like the more likely signing.
It has been reported that Pedro is leaning towards picking Chelsea over Newcastle. Many Blues fans will also want to see Kudus arrive at Stamford Bridge, though.
He is a talented player, with former West Ham manager David Moyes describing one of the Ghana international’s performances in 2023 as “fantastic” during a post-match interview with BBC Sport.
