The final few hours of the summer transfer window looks as if it is going to revolve around the striker position as far as Chelsea are concerned.
The Blues had already completed significant business in this area this summer with the additions of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, however a potentially major injury issue for the latter has seen plenty of things change.
Nicolas Jackson is currently on his way back to Stamford Bridge after looking as if he was set for a loan move to Bayern Munich, and Jackson is not happy at Chelsea after this fell through.
Reports have also stated that Marc Guiu is returning to his parent club after a loan to Sunderland which lasted just two appearances.

Chelsea recall Marc Guiu who cannot take part in EFL Cup this season
There was just one start for the Spaniard, however Guiu impressed Sunderland fans with a goal in their EFL Cup defeat to Huddersfield.
Chelsea are set to enter the League Cup at the next stage, with an away tie against Lincoln City to come.
However, after Guiu has already taken part in action in that competition, he is now essentially cup-tied, and unable to feature for Chelsea.
Squad rotation is going to be essential in games like this, and Chelsea have already scored a major own goal in their building for the upcoming campaign.
Enzo Maresca will likely have to look to Shumaira Mheuka if he is to rotate heavily for the competition, which is far from the ideal scenario, especially if Jackson does still depart this summer.

Chelsea fail to learn from Arsenal mistake
Chelsea fans are likely to see former player Kepa Arrizabalaga in action during the League Cup this season, with their own squad planning going much better this season than 12 months ago.
Last summer, they signed Neto on loan from Bournemouth, however seemed to fail to realise that he was already cup tied after taking part in an early round of the EFL Cup.
While the situation was partly out of Chelsea’s control, it is certainly something they wish they would have avoided, with Joao Pedro likely to be involved in some capacity in the early rounds of the competition.
Delap is set for another scan in the coming days, with the Blues crossing their fingers that their new signing will not miss a large portion of the campaign.
