Chelsea have agreed with Trevoh Chalobah they’ll sell him this summer when they receive a suitable transfer offer.

That is according to a report from The Evening Standard.

They claim that Chelsea’s owners are prepared to sell Trevoh Chalobah in the summer transfer window should the right bid emerge.

It is understood that the Blues are listening to any offers for the 24-year-old, who finds himself as fifth-choice in the centre-back pecking order at Stamford Bridge

The report adds that Inter Milan are interested in signing £25million-rated defender, while others sides are keen on making an offer as well.

Apparently, Chalobah has been in high spirits in training under new Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino, which is fantastic to hear from a great professional. However, he wants regular first-team action, and the player has agreed with the club that he may be sold for the right fee.

We certainly do like Chalobah as a player, someone who’s come through the academy ranks at Chelsea and seems like he adores the club.

Unfortunately, his path into the Blues starting line-up is seemingly blocked right now.

Chelsea already have some top-quality centre-halves with the likes of Thiago Silva, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill on their books.

Therefore, we can see great logic in the Chalobah solution. If the Blues receive a decent offer, we’ll cash in for the sake of all parties.

We’ve got massive respect for the player not kicking up a fuss and continuing to train well at Cobham during pre-season. After all, there’s nothing concrete yet that he’ll 100 per cent leave.

Football London claimed earlier this month that Premier League side Newcastle United have registered interest in Chalobah.

Will he be playing his football in Italy or England next season, though?

Regardless, we do think the Englishman has a great future ahead of him, but it may not be in Chelsea colours.
