Chelsea have reportedly been informed again by AC Milan that Rafael Leao will cost £130m to sign this summer.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter, the Blues won’t be able to sign Milan’s attacker unless his €150million (£130million) release clause is paid in full.

It is understood the Serie A giants have reiterated to Chelsea three times the 23-year-old won’t be leaving the San Siro unless the release clause price is met.

Leao, who was a talisman in winning the Italian league title last season, is a talented individual that his side obviously want to keep despite Chelsea’s stubborn interest

Incidentally, the Portugal international has another two years remaining on his deal with Milan.

Leao will cost £130m

It sounds like Chelsea won’t get Milan to budge over their stance on Leao.

Let’s hope that the pacey winger doesn’t cause too much of a problem when the teams lock horns twice later this year in the Champions League group stages.

He’s still a very young forward that looks tailor-made to be a success in the Premier League one day.

For now, Chelsea are still linked with alternative options in forward areas of the pitch.

Chelsea have reportdly made a late offer to try sign Barcelona’s Memphis Depay. Thomas Tuchel’s side are reportedly closing in on signing his Barcelona teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, too.

It’s clear the front end of the pitch has been an Achilles heel for Chelsea in the last couple of years, so bringing in some new forwards has always seemed inevitable.

Raheem Sterling has got off to a strong start and immediately looks the club’s best attacker.

If you throw in Barcelona duo Aubameyang and Depay to the Blues squad, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of success Tuchel can get out of the group.
