Chelsea are now thinking about reintegrating Romelu Lukaku – although Mauricio Pochettino is not a fan of the idea.
That is according to 90min.
So, what is the latest on Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Blues have been trying to sell the Belgian all summer – but it has been a struggle to offload him.
Chelsea first negotiated with Inter Milan over a deal to send Lukaku back to the San Siro, although those talks eventually collapsed after the Italian giants were angered by the fact he also spoke to Juventus.
Juventus have remained in discussions, and looked to be making progress on a swap deal involving Dusan Vlahovic before fans began an anti-Lukaku campaign.
The 30-year-old has also resisted advances from Saudi Arabia.
Now – according to 90min – Chelsea are actually thinking about keeping the Belgium international.

It is said that those at Stamford Bridge are open to reintegrating Lukaku if Pochettino gives his approval.
However, the Argentine is currently against bringing the Antwerp-born striker back into the fold.
Chelsea cannot bring Lukaku back
In our view, it would be a terrible decision to bring Lukaku back into the fold.
The Belgian has disrespected Chelsea since returning in a then club-record £97.5m move from Inter Milan, famously stating his love for the Italian side and his desire to go back just months after signing for the Blues.
Lukaku also refused to report for pre-season training this summer.

After these antics, it would send out a negative message to the rest of the squad if Pochettino brought the controversial striker back into the first-team setup.
Hopefully, Chelsea can find a buyer for Lukaku before transfer deadline day, and wash their hands of the problematic forward.
Be sure to keep an eye on the situation, as Juventus remain a possible destination for the Chelsea outcast.
