Chelsea are now being linked with a Champions League striker who’s reportedly worth around £15m.
The Chelsea squad is crying out for a new centre-forward to strengthen their options. This has only been further highlighted by recent injuries to Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca wants to sign another striker and accepted he’d have to wait until the summer rather than recruiting a new attacker in the winter transfer window.

Chelsea interested in signing £15m striker
Sporting Lisbon forward Conrad Harder, who’s only aged 19, has been linked with a potential move to Stamford Bridge recently.
Chelsea are backing themselves to sign Sporting frontman Harder, and they view him as a ‘huge talent’. Also, Chelsea scouts watched Harder in action earlier in February.
According to talkSPORT, Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing Sporting centre-forward Harder.
It is understood that Blues scouts have been watching the Primeira Liga attacker as they look to find a profile to compete with Jackson.
The report adds that the player is valued at roughly €18m (£15m).

Conrad Harder vs Nicolas Jackson
Even though Harder is playing second fiddle to Viktor Gyokeres at Sporting this season, the 19-year-old striker is still making an impact when he gets on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Jackson has been the first-choice forward for Chelsea when fit under Maresca.
Here is a look at how Harder and Jackson compare so far in the 2024/25 season for their respective clubs. Incidentally, we’ve only included the former’s matches for Sporting and ignored his matches for FC Nordsjaelland from the summer.
| Player | Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes-per-goal |
| Conrad Harder | Sporting Lisbon | 30 | 9 | 4 | 130 |
| Nicolas Jackson | Chelsea | 24 | 9 | 5 | 198 |
The most eye-catching statistic is that Harder’s minutes-per-goal ratio is much superior to Jackson.
For £15m, the teenager looks like he could be a potential bargain signing. Would the club be better off investing in someone who’s the more finished article with more experience, though?
