Chelsea are interested in signing Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez this summer, according to reports.
TyC Sports journalist Gaston Edul has claimed on Twitter that the Villa shot-stopper is attracting a wave of transfer interest from Premier League rivals.
It is understood that Chelsea, along with Tottenham and Manchester United, are keen on a move for the 30-year-old star.
He adds that the “idea” is for the gloveman to change clubs at the end of the season.

Martinez, who’s enjoyed a remarkable rise in the past couple of years, is now being tipped for a high-profile transfer in the summer.
The Argentina international was a hero last winter when his country lifted the World Cup.
He’s now established himself as one of the best and most consistent keepers in the Premier League, too.
Martinez definitely has the character and quality to play in net for the biggest club sides around, but is he what Chelsea need next season?

In our view, Martinez could be a great option for the Blues.
The £17million (BBC) goalkeeper would bring the sort of presence that current Chelsea keepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy both lack.
Also, Chelsea fans may love hearing that club legend John Terry has previously given a big thumbs up on the Villa number one. Terry called Martinez “a fantastic keeper” last December on beIN SPORTS (13/12/22 at 9:25 pm).
We’re heard recent speculation in the media that the Blues are considering a change in net over the summer.
BILD claimed last month that Chelsea are planning an upgrade in goal for next season and want to sign a new keeper.
